Year in brief
In January, we spent two weeks in St. Louis, Missouri with Mark, Jenny and their children. Nothing much happened in February; in fact, we only managed to take two pictures. March was a little busier—we went to the playpark, fed the birds and went for a walk in the hills. Kirsty was very pretty on Daddy’s birthday.
April saw our first wedding of the year, Ian and Rebecca Langlands. We don’t have any pictures of the happy couple, unfortunately. A couple of days later, Kirsty enjoyed a nice trip to the science festival with Amelie. Andrew’s parents visited towards the end of the month, helping Kirsty get covered in paint.
The Navs organised a marriage weekend for the first weekend of May. Gracie and Amelie were there. The next week, Kirsty was having fun playing in the garden and going on a picnic. There was more Navs fun later in the month, with the beach party. In June, we found out that Ash had diabeties, and got worried that she wasn’t going to last long, so we took lots of pictures. Kirsty made Daddy a nice card for fathers’ day, Lindsay and Meg got engaged and had a party, Andrew’s Grandparents dropped in for the afternoon and we had our first wedding of the wedding season: Neil and Jill Ritchie.
The wedding season continued for the whole of July. First up were Andrew and Joanna Hookham. We then travelled south to Bath for Peter and Esther Aylett’s wedding, followed by a week near Minehead. When we got back, we met up with the Stirlings for a trip to Cramond Island. The wedding season ended with Joel and Alison Caldicott’s wedding.
Kirsty started walking in August, then Ewan was born. He wasn’t so well, so he was in an incubator for a week. Meanwhile, Andrew’s parents enjoyed a holiday in France. Ewan came home and his Grandma came to visit. Grandad came later in the week.
September saw Stuart and Lorna‘s 30th wedding anniversary, celebrated by a trip to Peckham’s Underground. The next weekend, we’d been lent a car, so we had a day trip north of Perth on the Saturday and spent Sunday afternoon with friends from Carrubbers. Ewan turned one month old and we went to Amelie‘s dedication. Andrew had a long weekend that weekend, so we went to the museum. Rockliffe bought Kirsty a child carrier to celebrate Ewan’s birth.
In October, we started the month by seeing Ewan’s godparents, then Kirsty got a new dress. Lizzie and Kiri took their children to the museum and Kirsty had fun playing the piano at the Boydells’ flat. Martin came up for a couple of days. Tim Packer had his stag do, Lizzie and the children went to see Jimmy and Greta, then to see Alexis. Tim and Anna Lauren got married, Jon and Lorraine visited and Andrew’s parents came for a visit.
November saw a trip to the farm with Chontelle and Alexis, a visit from the Young family, Ava‘s birthday and a visit from Lindsay and Meg.
In December we saw the Ritchies, enjoyed a trip to The Gyle with the Children’s centre, went to the castle for Kirsty‘s birthday, had a party for Kirsty, then went and saw most of the family for Christmas and New Year.
